North-Indian Food & Diwali
Festivals and food go hand-in-hand. Whenever we celebrate a festival, we always try to have really good food along with it. And for us North-Indians, festivals have never been the reason why we want to have good food. For us, each day is worth having good, delicious, authentic North-Indian food. Diwali is no exception. With house parties going on in almost every home, we end up eating those delicious tikkas, sumptuous biryani and many other delicacies.
Food always binds us all, and when its North-Indian food, we do more than just mere binding. We share food as well as memories. As a popular saying goes "There is no love sincerer than the love for food", we tend to connect with people who share similar tastes. Here steps in the outstanding Chhole Bhature. They are a perfect breakfast meal for festivals. Surprisingly, they are a great conversation starter. A heavy breakfast brings on laziness. But we North-Indians never feel lazy, specially after having such an amazing breakfast.
Another dish I would like to talk about is Aloo Puri. This is the best meal to end your day with. It might be a little heavy on the stomach, but it's not at all heavy for the tongue. Those little puris are so delicious, you can't stop by just having 1 or 2 or maybe even 3. To end it all, if it's paired with Jalebi, you can just go to a peaceful coma after this. Jalebi is like an anesthesia for North-Indians. We can have it anytime, anywhere. And these are the delicacies we can never get tired of.
Binge eating is the way I celebrate Diwali. This article truly describes how we like to indulge in tasteful finger licking food all through the festivities.
